The purpose of this page is to equip new teachers with Common Core State Standards (CCSS) resources that foster instructional planning and practice. Common Core may seem daunting at first, but with more exposure and practice applying the concepts, implementing the standards will become easier. I want to encourage you to start from where you are, but don’t stop there. Like everything else in life, balance Common Core implementation with patience and urgency. Regardless of how anyone feels about the Common Core State Standards, they are here and we all know that what gets legislated, gets implemented. So let’s get started…
